You won’t have to explain yourself here. We already see you.
As the nation’s leading LGBTQ+ treatment centers, your identity isn't an afterthought. Our teams receive ongoing competency training, shaped by LGBTQ+ voices and lived experience, so your treatment is grounded in understanding, not assumptions.
Wherever you are on your recovery journey, our care respects you, supports you, and meets you exactly as you are.
LGBTQ+ eating disorders occur at significantly higher rates
Up to 18% of transgender and gender diverse people experience disordered eating or an eating disorder
LGBTQ+ youth report higher rates of binge eating and purging than heterosexual peers
42% of men with eating disorders identify as gay, despite being ~5% of the male population
These disparities are real. Affirming, identity-aware care matters.
You belong here. You’re valid. You’re not alone.
Our inclusive, affirming care meets you where you are
You choose how to show up, and we’ll meet you there. Our affirming care isn't guesswork, but intentionally built to ensure your identity, orientation, and expression is respected from day one.
If you’ve ever felt the need to ‘prove’ your illness or justify who you are, you won’t have to here. This is where isolation ends and community begins.

We provide affirming, individualized care that honors each person’s identity, experiences, and needs. Our team is trained in LGBTQ+ competencies and creates a supportive environment where you can explore the connection between identity, stress, and mental health without judgment or assumptions. Together, we’ll build a treatment plan that reflects your goals, voice, and comfort.
We follow your lead. Our therapists create a safe, open space to explore questions around identity at your pace, in individual or family sessions when helpful. We also provide education and guidance for caregivers so they can support you with compassion and understanding. Rest assured, your voice is central, and your comfort determines the direction of our care.
Yes. Our team receives ongoing training in transgender eating disorder treatment, including social, medical, and legal aspects of transitioning. We honor your chosen name and pronouns, provide access to gender-affirming spaces whenever possible, and typically continue HRT when clinically appropriate. We work with you to ensure your identity is affirmed and your medical needs are supported throughout treatment.
It’s painful when the people you care about struggle to accept who you are. In treatment, we offer supportive family therapy to increase understanding and reduce fear-based reactions, when appropriate. We also work with your family of choice and connect you to affirming outpatient providers so you have a safe, supportive community during and after treatment.
We recognize that discrimination, bias, and societal pressure can significantly affect mental health and how you receive care. Our programs are designed to help you navigate these stressors with compassion and evidence-based support. We create a space where your experiences are validated, your identity is respected, and your care is informed by the realities LGBTQ+ communities face.
